Schedule:
Saturday: 6:00am–2:30pm
Sunday: 6:00am–2:30pm
(Opening and closing shifts may run approximately 5:30am–3:00pm.)
This position begins as weekend-only and is expected to expand as the business grows.

The historic Grant Hotel, built in the early 1900s, has stood as a landmark in Deer Lodge for over a century. Its walls have quietly witnessed generations of the town’s life, holding the character and charm of the community.
Today, the Grant Hotel is in the middle of restoration — and we are building something special.
Grant Coffee Shoppe is the first phase of a larger vision. As we work toward reopening and revitalizing the hotel, our coffee shop is becoming the heartbeat of the project — a place where locals gather, visitors ask questions, and the story of the building continues to unfold.
This is not just a barista job.
This is Phase 1 of building the Grant Hotel team.
Qualifications
- Barista experience preferred
- Willingness to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire
- Reliable transportation and consistent weekend availability
- Strong customer service skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for 8–9 hour
- Ability to lift 20–30 lbs (milk crates, supplies)
- Comfortable working early mornings
About the position
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a clean and fully stocked shop
- Accurate cash handling and adherence to procedures
- Representing the Grant Hotel brand professionally
- Learning the hotel’s history and current restoration updates
- Answering guest questions about the project
- After training, you will work in the shop on your own during your shift
- Downtime between customers gives you moments to catch your breath and stay organized. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in their work, and thrives when trusted to make decisions.
