We are looking for a reliable, independent Kitchen Lead / Chef for a small casual restaurant in Fort Smith, Montana. The menu is simple and focused: breakfast burritos in the morning, and pizza, burgers, and wings in the evening.
This is a seasonal position starting July 1 and running through November 15, with the possibility of year-round work for the right person.
Free private housing is included: a furnished 2-bedroom, 1-bath house across the street from the restaurant. Utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry, parking, and a yard are included. Dogs are welcome, and there is no housing deposit.
Schedule
5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off.
Typical hours:
6:30 AM–10:00 AM
4:00 PM–8:30 PM
Approximately 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
The Kitchen Lead / Chef will handle the day-to-day kitchen work, including breakfast burritos, evening service, prep, opening, closing, cleaning, and keeping the kitchen organized and food-safe.
A kitchen manager will be on-site two days per week to assist with administrative tasks, ordering, and inventory. This role does not handle ordering or inventory.
Ideal Candidate
This is a good fit for someone dependable, clean, organized, and comfortable working independently. Fine dining experience is not required. Experience with casual restaurants, pizza, burgers, breakfast service, diners, bars, lodges, or food trucks would be helpful.
Couples are welcome to apply. This could be a great setup if one person is interested in the kitchen role and the other is interested in helping with counter service, evening service, or general restaurant support.
